Covid-19 impact assessed in the second phase of sector surveys

Find out how you can help shape the sport and physical activity sector’s response to Covid-19.
Like most industries, the sport and physical activity sector has been hit hard by the coronavirus outbreak. With a workforce of over 500,000, CIMSPA is committed to supporting the sector in this time of need. You can join our Stronger Together Facebook group
here.
Following on from phase one of the CIMSPA Covid-19 impact surveys, phase two is now live.Tasked by Sport England, CIMSPA aims to use our Covid-19 impact surveys to gain insight as to how the sport and physical activity sector’s workforce is adapting to the effects of Covid-19 a few weeks on from its initial impact.
Thank you to all of those that responded to our phase one impact surveys – they were a resounding success.
With phase one we wanted to understand the crisis as it happened and the immediate impact and that is what the report outlines. These surveys are about CIMSPA getting a fully rounded picture which can continually feed the support that we provide for the Stronger Together campaign. In the future, we look to launch phase three which will switch our focus to the recovering sport and physical activity sector.
The phase 2 surveys cover three major areas; workforce, training providers and employers. The first phase had nearly 2500 responses and we hope to replicate that in this next phase.
With the continually changing Covid-19 outbreak we ask that everyone in sport and physical activity continues to help us to understand their changing needs through phase two of the surveys.
Please share the links below with your colleagues, training providers and employers. This will give us the confidence to know that the support and guidance that we are delivering is relevant and needed.
