Delivering sport and physical activity online consultation

We are today opening a consultation on sector-wide policy and supporting guidance for safely delivering sport and physical activity online.
Our insight research has revealed a 35% increase in the number of individuals who are completing more physical activity and exercise than they normally would, and 50% of businesses have moved their products and services online.
This has driven the need for clear professional guidance to ensure that both the workforce and participants can engage online in a safe way.
With delivering physical activity online now part of the “new normal”, our sector must engage with what this means and act professionally to reflect this. Our policy and its supporting guidance have been developed to enable this transition.
This policy has been developed by CIMSPA within our remit as the chartered professional body and lead workforce agency for the UK sport and physical activity sector. The policy is supported by Sport England and has been developed in partnership with EMD UK, UK Coaching, ukactive and Active Partnerships.
